My Areas of Practice

I welcome patients of all ages, from newborn on up.  I have a special interest in caring for young families.  I am an international board certified lactation consultant and spent many years caring for new families through NICU nursing.  I also have a special interest in preventative health care and adolescent health.  After more than five years on active duty in the U.S. Navy, my experience is not limited only to teens and young families.  I enjoy caring for all patients across the age spectrum.

As a lactation consultant, I pull from my background as a former NICU nurse and my current role as a nurse practitioner to ensure that together we develop a sustainable feeding plan that is mutually agreeable between mom and baby to meet your infant's needs.  I work with infants of all ages and with moms who are returning to work to help meet your goals for feeding your baby.  Because I am a nurse practitioner, I can also address any medical concerns that may arise during the visit for both mother or child.

Personal

I was raised in Maple Grove and currently live in Brooklyn Park with my husband and our two young children.  After finishing my initial nursing degree, I joined the United States Navy as a Nurse Corps Officer, where I spent over five years on active duty.  I have served with the Marines at Camp Lejeune, cared for our nation's leaders and servicemembers in the Washington, D.C. area and completed two tours of duty in Iraq as a trauma/flight nurse.  Currently, my free time away from work is spent with my two little people: playing, growing, and giggling.
