My Areas of Practice

I believe we can all grow, change, and heal. My specialty is helping people work through emotions, explore difficulties, address relationship stressors, heal trauma, and create safety for overwhelming pain. I work with individuals and couples to cope with depression and anxiety, relationship issues, shame, losses, addictions / other behavior patterns, family of origin issues, and life transitions.

Other areas of interest for me as a clinician include: codependency, inner child work, somatic experiencing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and exposure techniques.

I have a deep respect for social justice issues and a strong commitment to ethics and best practice in the therapy. I understand that the relationship between you and your therapist must be one of openness, safety, and understanding. My practice philosophy includes the belief that as humans, we heal within relationships and I am committed to that end.

I enjoy traveling and learning about new people, places, and things. I have volunteered at a dog rescue and enjoy anything animal-related.
