My Areas of Practice

Well-women care, Obstetrical care, Preventive medicine, Menopause/perimenopause.

I have a special interest in well-women care, obstetrical care, preventive medicine and menopause/perimenopause.

My past experience working as a public health nurse, school nurse and labor and delivery nurse gave me a great appreciation for the whole spectrum of women's health.  I have been privileged to be a part of many of my patient's lives from adolescence through pregnancy, to the mid-life years, where I now see some of their children having children.  I value learning about the newest technologies and the most current information.  I am currently the only provider at Burnsville to insert the Hormone Nexplanon.  I also love the opportunities to learn from my patients and colleagues.  I believe through education, being a good listener and showing non-judgmental compassion, I'm able to partner with my patients so they feel cared for in a way that is respectful and collaborative.  My full-time practice brings new challenges every day, and I am thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the women I care for.

I grew up in California, outside of San Francisco and moved to Edina, Minnesota as a teenager.  I love Minnesota and appreciate the beauty of each season.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and have a passion for gardening. I also enjoy cooking, baking and canning.  My husband and I love the great art culture the Twin Cities offers and are members of the Burnsville Performing Arts Center and Minnesota Instituteof Arts.  We share our home with 3 cats and are actively involved with animal rescue.  I have a lot of energy and am a people person so being involved with a variety of clubs (investment, book, gourmet and gardening) is a fun way to stay connected with others who share my hobbies. I am also social director of my neighborhood association.
