I grew up on a small ranch on the outskirts of Portland, OR, playing sports and working in construction with my father, who was a brick mason for 30 years. I met my wife, now a nurse, at a coffee shop studying while we were both in school. She grew up in Apple Valley and I fell in love not just with her, but also with the Midwest charm that the Twin Cities offer.
I once lived in a small town in Mexico, volunteering in the local hospital. My wife and I have also served on medical missions in Cambodia, performing gynecologic sugery. We have two small children and one not so small dog. We spend our free time at sporting events, concerts, or on adventures with our kids, usually in the outdoors.
I am honored to care for mothers, daughters, sisters, and grandmothers; the women that keep our lives running. I specialize in general obstetrics and gynecology. I especially enjoy caring for women through pregnancy and observing theirs and their families' reactions at delivery. I am also trained in minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries such as laparoscopy and Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery. I even completed a research project in preventing complications during surgery. I support women to feel empowered and take control of their health. I also love working with women to find solutions to their health concerns through surgical and non-surgical methods.
