My Areas of Practice
I believe that mental health care should be provided based on scientific information, clinical knowledge and client values. Therapy should be a collaborative, empowering relationship that facilitates change and growth. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2002. My primary interest areas are in sexuality and gender issues, women's mental health, and couples/relationship problems. I also work extensively with issues including depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, chemical dependency, and family of origin issues. My theoretical orientation draws from cognitive-behavioral (CBT), relational, feminist, multi-cultural, and insight-oriented perspectives.
