I was born and raised in the Twin Cities, with a brief stint in Wisconsin for college where I toyed with the idea of a career in classical music, later settling for medicine when that proved too difficult. I still enjoy playing my bass trombone at any opportunity, I strive each year to break my record of reading more than 120 books in a year, and I am a rabid Minnesota Twins fan and season ticket holder. I am a Russian Kettlebell enthusiast, and I still hope to clean and press the 106 pound “Beast” someday.
