My Areas of Practice
I am a medical doctor who specializes in psychiatric disorders. As a psychiatrist I prescribe medications to treat a wide variety of adult psychiatric illnesses. In addition to medication, I often incorporate aspects of psychotherapy into the treatment sessions for increased likelihood of successful treatment. My areas of interest include depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, perinatal and reproductive mood and anxiety disorders - mental health issues related to pregnancy, postpartum, and fertility. Other common disorders I treat include anxiety, panic, psychosis/Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and psychiatric symptoms resulting from neurological causes/disease. My practice involves partnering with patients to make treatment/medication decisions together and focusing on the patient as the entire person, not just as a symptom or as a diagnosis.
