My Areas of Practice
As an Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner I enjoy working with patients and families from age 10 through maturity. I make it a priority to listen to my patients and then we work together to develop a plan of care that is tailored to their specific condition, needs and lifestyle. I believe it is vital that patients and families understand their diagnosis and the rationale behind recommendations and interventions.
My areas of interest include adolescent dermatology, laser therapy, skn cancer prevention and chronic conditions such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. I serve as a preceptor and lecturer for the Nurse Practioner Program at the University of Mankato, Edina location. I am passionate about healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, exercise and use of complementary modalities such as yoga, and meditation.

I grew up in Minnesota and have attended 3 different Minnesota colleges to complete my education. I have been a registered nurse for 35 years and a nurse practition for 22 years. My varied nursing background includes working with patients before and after organ transplants, doing research with patients with HIV/AIDS and caring for patients with a variety of skin diseases. I am married with two adult children and two dogs. When not at Park Nicollet I like to bicycle, cook, garden and play the piano. I am Certified in Level Reiki Level II energy therapy and practice yoga.
