Kathy Ringhofer grew up in Duluth, Minnesota on Lake Superior. Growing up with four athletic brothers, Kathy spent time helping with sports injuries and ER visits. This youthful experience developed her passion for helping others and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Kathy has worked in women’s health for 25 years. She started out in a private practice and then came to Park Nicollet. “I enjoy seeing my patients grow up, start families, and to help them with their struggles along the way.” Kathy chose Ob/Gyn to help women from all generations make healthy choices and decisions. She loves to listen to their concerns and educate them about their health issues. ‘It is important to me to personalize and connect the mind and bodies when helping women achieve their optimal health.” As a breast cancer survivor, Kathy believes in loving life, making good choices and having fun. Kathy has special interests in young teens, women’s health and prevention, infertility, exercise and wellness, and breast cancer and prevention. When not at Park Nicollet, Kathy works in the senior high youth group at her church and loves working with teens. The highlights have been mission trips and helping the poor. Weekly, she goes with a group into downtown Minneapolis to meet their homeless friends and providing a home cooked meal and donated clothing. Kathy and her husband, Kevin, share the vision for achieving wellness. He is in sports medicine and specializes in substance abuse prevention, helping young athletes and others make healthy life choices. Their daughter, Kristen, a Bethel Graduate, is married and has a newborn daughter. They also have two rescue dogs that keep them busy. The family loves to travel with Kevin especially on his “warm climate” trips. Kathy loves the outdoors and waters sports.
