Mary Kay Rosenberg is a native Minnesotan.  As a high school Junior, she participated in the University of North Dakota program for gifted students and her early interest in arts and science led to a Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. Upon graduation, Mary Kay worked in pediatric nursing in Grand Forks, North Dakota and then moved into public health and maternal child health nursing for the State of North Dakota. Her work with Ob/Gyn and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners influenced her decision to attend the Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she received her Nurse Practitioner Certification. Mary Kay returned to North Dakota as a Nurse Practitioner in women’s health, public health nursing including pediatric and adolescent health, and in Ob/Gyn clinical nursing in Fargo, North Dakota. Mary Kay then worked at the University of North Dakota as a Nurse Practitioner in women’s health and taught in the departments of nursing, physiology, and physician assistant programs. While at the University, she participated in a grass roots campaign to promote the importance of mammography and early breast cancer detection for rural women. During this time, Mary Kay was an advocate for and participated in a wide range of women’s health programs at the University. The individual and personal contact Mary Kay has experienced with women and their families during her career has led to a professional mission of supporting and promoting health. In 1996, Mary Kay and her family moved to Maple Grove and she began working as a Nurse Practitioner with Park Nicollet in their Carlson Office and shortly thereafter moved to the Maple Grove office. Mary Kay is married with a son, daughter, and one grandson. When not at Park Nicollet, she volunteers with the March of Dimes Mother’s March. Mary Kay enjoys Yoga, swimming, reading, playing with her very active yellow lab, and spending time with her husband at their northern Minnesota cabin. Mary Kay also enjoys traveling and has visited the Middle East including Egypt, Israel, and Jordan.
