Personal

Lois Satterberg grew up in California and has been working her way from coast to coast. She went to graduate school for Nurse Midwifery at the University of Illinois to be able to help and care for women during their reproductive years. She then practiced as a nurse midwife and enjoyed working in Chicago, Hartford and Boston before moving to Minneapolis with her family. Lois likes the challenges of Women’s Health needs from teenage years to menopause. “The clinical areas I enjoy the most are teenage sexuality, infertility, and all areas of obstetrics.” After college, Lois decided to pursue graduate studies as a nurse-midwife. She believes in a woman’s ability to help plan their health care and participate in decision making. “In my practice, I try to remind women to stop and ‘listen’ to their bodies” Lois especially enjoys patients who bring in questions and input to their appointments. When Lois moved to Minneapolis, Park Nicollet Clinic stood above other clinics as a multispecialty clinic with an excellent reputation. “I like working in a larger clinic and being part of multi-disciplinary committees to improve patient care.” When not at Park Nicollet, Lois enjoys cooking, all foodie activities and yoga. She also loves to travel domestically and internationally. She has 2 adult children who both work in non-profits who serve Human Rights and International Relief around the world.
