Paul Vietzen - MD

My surgical interests include breast cancer and breast surgery, minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery of the gallbladder and gastrointestinal tract, surgical oncology, and a wide range of simple and complex hernia problems. I completed my undergraduate and medical education at Harvard University and the University of Illinois, respectively, before training at the University of Minnesota Department of Surgery. Since joining Park Nicollet in 2006, I have greatly appreciated being a part of the quality surgical care that we provide to the community.

I believe that patient education is a critical part of surgical care. My desire is to empower each patient with a full understanding of his or her surgical issues. Our goal is that every patient would have a clear picture of the surgical and non-surgical treatment options so that we can approach such important decisions confidently.
