My Areas of Practice
I am a general adult psychiatrist with a focus on psychopharmacology: using medications as part of treatment for mental illness. I believe in care of the whole person. For most people that includes trying to live a healthy lifestyle and participating in psychotherapy, in addition to taking medications. In my practice, I see a wide range of psychiatric conditions and all types of patients. I have a special interest in perinatal psychiatry, and I serve as the Medical Director of the Women's Mental Health Program; I work with people who have mental health concerns before, during, and after pregnancy. I enjoy collaborating with patients, their families, and their therapists so that we all can be informed and active participants in treatment.
