Yes, this site complies with HIPAA regulations, as appropriate. It also has been reviewed by the legal, compliance and security teams at Park Nicollet. All data you post on CONNECT is done voluntarily and is visible to all CONNECT users, with the exception of your personal information (name, address, e-mail, etc.).

To encourage open communication, we are trying to maintain a safe, small community. Invitations should be sent to those few people who are actively involved in a patient’s care. CONNECT is not open to the general public for the same reasons.

Yes, patients who do not receive treatment at Frauenshuh Cancer Center may use CONNECT if they are invited to participate by a cancer center patient.

No, each person is required to sign their own CONNECT registration form, and indicate their desired desired user name, password and screen name, as well as security questions and answers.

Your contact information is only visible to you and the CONNECT administrator. All other information you put on CONNECT is searchable by registered CONNECT members. Searching profile information is the primary way CONNECT members can find people who “are like me.” Searching discussion boards is another way CONNECT members can become acquainted with each other.
