Medical receptionist training

In addition to new employee orientation, the medical receptionist training program provides additional education, tools and resources necessary for medical receptionists.

Individual learning objectives include:

• managing patient volume
• personalized care and service initiative protocol
• managing patient interactions on the phone and in person
• diversity training and contacting Interpreter Services
• computer scheduling, registration, insurance and check-in
• basic medical terminology
• JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations)
• HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) requirements
• confidentiality guidelines (consent form information, ethics standards)
