Oct: Park Nicollet Foundation Gala

37th annual Park Nicollet Foundation Gala Raises more than $928,000

Spotlight Gala, the 37th annual Park Nicollet Foundation Gala, was the biggest ever, with a sold-out crowd of more than 1,200 friends of the Foundation. Everyone came together to help make it possible for Park Nicollet Foundation to improve the health and well-being of patients, families and communities through partnerships and philanthropy. The event broke all previous records, raising more than $928,000 in support for Park Nicollet Foundation and Park Nicollet diabetes programs.

After a breathtaking performance of Sia’s “Diamonds” by Kat Perkins, guests listened as 16-year-old Marie told them about the life-changing impact innovative diabetes management technology has had on her life. She said, “Growing up, when I would go to camp, I called home a lot to ask my parents how to handle my diabetes. But, this past summer, I spent a week at camp, and guess what? I never called home, and my family was not worried about me. I want everyone with diabetes to know what that feels like.”

Watch the video played at the Gala about Marie and her family!

Park Nicollet Foundation is partnering with the International Diabetes Center and Park Nicollet diabetes programs to improve the lives of people living with diabetes by creating education programs focused on research driven-innovative solutions. With the funds raised at the Gala, the International Diabetes Center and Park Nicollet diabetes programs will use these education programs to accelerate the time it takes to get new diabetes technology into the hands of patients who need it.
