"A Love Affair"
When The King’s Singers learned of Jerry’s cancer, they made him an offer he couldn’t refuse: “We’ll perform a benefit concert for you in Minneapolis ... you name the cause, but our hope is it will have something to do with your cancer recovery.” For Jerry and Cathie, it was an opportunity to thank their remarkable care team at Frauenshuh Cancer Center. A Valentine’s Day 2015 concert by The King’s Singers has been booked at Orchestra Hall, with all proceeds benefiting Park Nicollet Foundation and Frauenshuh Cancer Center. It’s a love story you’ll want to share.

June: Silverstein Community Service Awards Dinner and Benefit

Silverstein Community Service Awards Dinner and Benefit for Struthers Parkinson's Center

The 2014 Silverstein Community Service Awards Dinner and Benefit was a great success! A room full of Struthers Parkinson's Center supporters is a remarkable sight, full of energy and inspiration.

At the event we celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of our award winners, Marjorie Johnson, Mike Justak and Julie Steen, and we screened "Faces of Parkinson's", the video that Mike created to help us share our stry with the community.

And, with more than 200 people attending the event, we raised more than $32,000 to sustain and develop Struthers arts and wellness programs such as yoga, spiritual care, music therapy, dance and horticulture.

These services, specially adapted for Parkinson's disease by skilled Struthers staff in partnership with local and national collaborators, enhance the lives of people with Parkinson's disease but are not covered by insurance. Many thanks to our generous supporters who make them possible.

You can still support Patients with Parkinson's with your gift

July: Struthers Parkinson's Center Golf and Bridge Challenge

Golf and Bridge Challenge for Struthers Parkinson's Center

What an event! The 2014 Struthers Parkinson's Center Golf and Bridge Challenge was a resounding success, thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved.

More than 250 people joined us at The Minikahda Club, where friendly competition helped us raise nearly $127,000. Proceeds from the event will help us provide services that improve well-being and quality of life for people with Parkinson's disease. This is especially important for those who would not be able to access these services without financial assistance.

You can still support outstanding Parkinson's care with your donation
