Residential living (extended structured living)

A complete, intensive inpatient eating disorders treatment program.

Program

  • Patients are in the facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for 120 to 180 days
  • Eight to 12 hours of group programming each day, including psychotherapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, education, nutrition, yoga and art therapy
  • Professional staff constantly monitor and observe patients
  • Trained staff (registered dietitians and health educators) closely observe patients while eating three meals and three snacks each day
  • Individual psychotherapy sessions each week, (or more as needed)
  • Medical visits with a medical doctor each week
  • Psychiatry visits each week
  • Individual nutrition counseling and education each week

Program goals

Help participants:

  • monitor the effectiveness of new behavior strategies
  • plan ongoing treatment and recovery goals
