Tests and examinations

The comprehensive executive examination includes a health risk assessment, fitness consultation and nutrition consultation. Services include:

• a complete health history, physical examination and follow-up letter by an internal medicine specialist, which can include a report to your personal doctor
• a health test profile with an electrocardiogram, and a vision screening, glaucoma test, hearing test and, when appropriate, lung-function test
• fitness consultation
• health status report
• laboratory tests:
  • cholesterol fractionation (lipids)
  • complete blood count (CBC)
  • glucose (diabetes)
  • kidney function
  • liver function
  • pap smear (for women)
  • prostate cancer (PSA) for men
  • thyroid function

• nutrition counseling
• personal wellness profile

Other tests or laboratory procedures may be recommended, according to age and individual health risk, at an additional fee. They may be covered by insurance, and include:

• chest X-ray
• colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy or Hemoccult
• CPK (for people taking “statin” cholesterol-reducing medications)
• highly sensitive C-Reactive Protein (CRP) for heart risk
• homocysteine (for heart risk)
• CT scan of the heart
• CT scan of the lungs
• ear wash
• mammography
• osteoporosis screening
• routine immunizations
  • diphtheria tetanus booster injection
  • flu vaccine
  • hepatitis A vaccine
  • pneumovax
• stress electrocardiogram
