Pediatric eye symptoms

Early detection of vision problems in children is essential to successful treatment. If you notice any of the following signs of serious eye problems, schedule an appointment with our eye care experts.

  • Avoiding close work
  • Closing or covering one eye
  • Excessive blinking or rubbing the eyes
  • Frequent daydreaming
  • Headaches
  • One eye crossing inward
  • One eye drifting outward
  • Placing the head close to reading materials
  • Short attention span
  • Squinting
  • Tilting the head to one side

If your child is age 4 or older, you can schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric optometrists. For children younger than 4, or those with special needs or problems, schedule a time with our pediatric ophthalmologists by calling 952-993-3150.
