Parkinson's Golf Challenge
A benefit to support Parkinson's disease care, research and education.
Monday, July 12, 2010
The Minikahda Club
Minneapolis, Minn.
To avid golfers, nothing beats a ball soaring through the air after just one fluid motion of the club. But for people with Parkinson's disease, motion often becomes subpar. Freezing, tremor, stiff muscles, and walking and balance problems severely impact mobility – and separate those with Parkinson's from activities they once enjoyed.
With your help, we will make life better for people facing the challenge of Parkinson's disease and their families through the seventh annual Parkinson's Golf Challenge. Proceeds support vital patient programs at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital Struthers Parkinson's Center and Edina Care Residence.
2009 record-breaking event
A record-breaking 175 golfers played 18 holes at the prestigious Minikahda Club, overlooking Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for 2009’s Parkinson’s Golf Challenge. Blue skies formed a perfect backdrop for a day of golf, dinner, auction and prizes that raised money for vital patient programs at Struthers Parkinson’s Center and Edina Care Residence.
