Helping babies become "well rounded"

Park Nicollet's Starscanner helps babies become 'well rounded'Misshapen or flat areas on infants’ heads are a growing phenomenon. While some babies are born with misshapen heads, experts think flat spots are connected with putting babies to sleep on their backs to prevent sudden infant death syndrome. A flat spot isn’t necessarily harmful, but it still has some parents concerned. Park Nicollet Orthotics (PDF) is the only provider in the Twin Cities with a laser scanner that easily measures babies for helmets that correct the problem.
