Jodee Kozlak and Donald Lewis appointed to Park Nicollet Health Services Board of Directors

Target executive and attorney/law school dean named new board members

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn., (June 9, 2008) – Park Nicollet Health Services has announced the appointment of Jodee Kozlak and Donald Lewis to its Board of Directors.

Jodee Kozlak is Executive Vice President Human Resources at Target Corporation. She is a former partner with Greene Espel, PLLP and Senior Associate with Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, both of Minneapolis. She was also a senior auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. in their Minneapolis office. Ms. Kozlak currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Guthrie Theater and is a member of its Executive Committee. Ms. Kozlak received her B.A. in accounting from the College of St. Thomas and her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Donald Lewis is Co-Founder and Senior Shareholder of Halleland Lewis Nilan & Johnson, P.A., where he is responsible for complex civil and criminal litigation. Mr. Lewis was recently named dean of the Hamline University School of Law. Mr. Lewis will assume that post on July 1 while remaining Of Counsel with the law firm he helped to launch twelve years ago.

Mr. Lewis is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Law Institute and the American Bar Association. He is a co-founder of the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers and has served on the Board of Governors of the National Bar Association. Prior to entering private practice in 1988, Mr. Lewis served for six years as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Minnesota and was a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division for the U.S. Department of Justice. Mr. Lewis holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and earned his JD from Harvard Law School. Mr. Lewis lives in south Minneapolis. His wife, Diane Bradley-Lewis, teaches in the Minneapolis Public Schools. They have three adult children.

“As the delivery of health care becomes more transparent and we become more accountable for both quality and cost, the role of the board becomes even more important,” says David Wessner, President and CEO, Park Nicollet Health Services. “The complexity of the changing health care market demands that we have excellent guidance. Our board members also play an important role in how we serve our community, helping ensure that we return value to our patients and to the community we serve.”
