Hearing

Selective hearing loss; uses hearing device; legally deaf; uses sign language; or needs interpreter

  • Association of Late Deafened Adults (ALDA) 
    Advocacy and referrals to other resources in the metro area for adults who have become deaf later in life.
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division (DHHSD) 
    Minnesota state agency assists with making services accessible to deaf and hard- of-hearing individuals, including direct counseling and technical assistance to people who are deaf, hard of hearing and deaf and blind. The agency also provides a library of videotapes on hearing loss and sign language and coordinates the Telephone Equipment Distribution Program, which provides qualifying individuals with special telephone equipment, such as amplified telephones and teletypewriters.
  • Hearing Center & Store @ Park Nicollet 
    Provides services for children and adults, and assistive products for people who are deaf and hard of hearing.
  • Minnesota Relay 
    Provides telecommunications access for Minnesotans with hearing loss or a speech disability.
