Hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism is a condition that occurs when your thyroid does not produce enough thyroid hormone. It is the most common thyroid disorder. One in 10 women over the age of 50 has an early stage of hypothyroidism. It is also seen in younger women and sometimes in men.
