Swollen Glands

Swollen glands could be considered a mixed blessing. The fact that they are swollen probably means they’re busy fighting an infection in your body. Unfortunately, because they often become enlarged quickly, swollen glands may be painful. The glands that become swollen are called lymph glands. Ordinarily, they are about the size of a pea, and they produce the antibodies your body uses to fight infections.
