Ear Emergencies

Many ear emergencies result from something being put into the ear. It’s usually children who put foreign objects in their ears, objects that then get stuck. But adults sometimes use inappropriate objects to clean their ears, causing damage that can be painful or that can result in hearing loss. There is other sudden ear damage that requires emergency help. Illness and infection also can cause pain and hearing loss.
