Shock

Shock occurs when the heart and blood vessels can’t send enough oxygen to every part of the body. Without oxygen, the brain, heart, kidneys, and other organs begin to slow their functions and may stop all activity. Shock is a life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical treatment. Shock does not improve on its own. It typically goes from bad to worse. Without treatment, the person in shock will die.
