For more than 50 years, our constant commitment to research and education has resulted in high quality, comprehensive, innovative health care.

1920 The Nicollet Clinic founded as the first multispecialty clinic in Minneapolis. 1951 St. Louis Park Medical Center founded by 11 specialists to combine the academic discipline of clinical research with daily medical practice. 1959 St. Louis Park Medical Center founds St. Louis Park Medical Center Research Foundation to coordinate, fund and review research and education programs at the Medical Center. 1983 Nicollet Clinic merges with St. Louis Park Medical Center. A systematic approach is developed to promote education, research and innovation, and to rapidly translate knowledge into high quality, effective care. St. Louis Park Medical Center Research Foundation continues to serve the new group and becomes Park Nicollet Medical Foundation. 1996 Park Nicollet Medical Foundation becomes Institute for Research and Education HealthSystem Minnesota. 2000 HealthSystem Minnesota becomes Park Nicollet Health Services; Institute for Research and Education becomes Park Nicollet Institute.
