About us
More than 46,000 patients a year are cared for at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital's Emergency Center. Specialized care teams made up of board-certified emergency doctors, registered nurses and other professionals diagnose and treat medical conditions that range from life-threatening or traumatic injuries to minor illnesses.
The emergency center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It offers a complete range of emergency services and includes the following:

a triage area, where registered nurses assess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their medical condition

state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment

leading-edge medications and techniques to stop heart attacks and strokes before they cause permanent damage

radio communication systems linking Methodist Hospital's emergency center to helicopter and ambulance services across Minnesota

digital electrocardiograms (ECG) data can be transmitted electronically from the ambulance en route to the emergency center, providing faster care for heart attack patients
