For more than 50 years, the Methodist Hospital Service League has supported care to patients, their families and the community. The success of many Methodist Hospital programs and projects is due, in part, to support from the service league.
Through funding and service, the service league supports the following
-
The Meadows Gift Shop and Café
-
Sharing Fund (emergency assistance for patients and their families)
-
Hospital tours for schools and community groups
-
Grants for the hospitality cart, Methodaires and more
-
Community education
-
Gifts for patients, flowers at Christmas and Mother’s Day, baby bibs and walker bags
-
Sponsorship of Methodist Hospital’s 100-year History Wall
This is a wonderful opportunity to help others and make new friends. Occasionally, we need help with mailings, knitting preemie caps and other special projects.
Time commitments range from once a week to occasional support.
Service league membership is open to anyone interested in serving Methodist Hospital and Park Nicollet patients. Membership fees are no longer required. Two service league luncheon meetings occur each year, in November and April, with interesting speakers and opportunities to socialize. A service league newsletter goes out to members three times a year.
