Key safety highlights

Methodist Hospital participates in statewide safety and quality initiatives, including:

• Minnesota Hospital Association’s Patient Safety Registry, which allows Methodist Hospital to share safety resources and knowledge with hospitals across Minnesota
• Leapfrog Group surveys at www.leapfroggroup.org, which help Methodist Hospital monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvements
• StratisHealth®’s process improvement project for atrial fibrillation and heart failure patients

The hospital also continues to be recognized for quality and safety initiatives from leading health care industry groups.

• Winner of Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) Patient Safety Award, January 17, 2003
• Recipient of the first annual Patient Safety Award by Minnesota Alliance for Patient Safety (MAPS)
• Recipient of three awards from the American Medical Group (AMGA), March 2003
