Methodist Hospital Lifeline
for greater peace of mind
Lifeline is a personal response service for people to use at home. Subscribers to the service wear a light, waterproof "Personal Help Button" that, when pressed, sends a signal to the Lifeline Response Center, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Caring operators speak to the subscriber through a two-way speaker, then send appropriate assistance – neighbors, friends or relatives; police; or an ambulance.
Lifeline also offers "Lifeline Telephone with Reminders." In addition to the personal response service, subscribers receive an enhanced telephone with features that might be helpful for someone with hearing or vision difficulties. The Lifeline Telephone with Reminders makes it possible for a caregiver to record up to six messages to be played back at appropriate times. This feature is helpful for people who live independently, but may need help remembering to take medications on time, keep appointments or exercise.
Methodist Hospital Lifeline has been serving people in Minneapolis and its suburbs for more than 25 years. It is not necessary to be affiliated with Methodist Hospital or Park Nicollet Health Services to acquire our Lifeline services. An analog telephone line is required for service.
