Infant feeding options

Whether to breastfeed or formula-feed your infant is a very personal and important decision. Gather as much information as you can about both options before your baby is born. No matter what your decision, keep in mind it is easier to stop breastfeeding after a few days than it is to start breastfeeding several days after your baby’s birth.

As a leader in breastfeeding support, the Breastfeeding Center @ Park Nicollet can provide resources and supplies.

You may want to consider taking our breastfeeding class before  your baby is born.

If you decide breastfeeding is not for you, our staff will support your decision. We recognize this is a personal decision and are here to support you in whatever feeding method you select for your baby. If you have concerns, ask your nurse, doctor or certified nurse-midwife for help.
