Our treatment programs

Eating Disorders Institute promotes healing and recovery through learning, practicing and integrating healthy life behaviors; self-care strategies; and effective coping skills. Staff is grounded in a treatment approach that stresses individuals and families are not the problem, the eating disorder is the problem.

Our team offers support as the individual patient works to achieve his or her primary treatment goals.

Primary treatment goals are to:

  • separate the eating disorder from the patient and family
  • establish collaborative relationships among people with eating disorders, their family members, friends and treatment team members
  • enable individuals to turn against the eating disorder and accept support in reclaiming health and life

Eating Disorders Institute’s full continuum of care includes the following treatment programs.

Some EDI programs provide separate adult and adolescent care.

Fees and insurance

Eating Disorders Institute service fees may include psychotherapy, nutritional evaluation and management, physical and occupational therapies, meals, group outings, medications, medical monitoring and laboratory tests.

Many health insurance companies realize the importance of treating eating disorders. Contact your insurance company to find out if these services are covered. Eating disorder treatment usually is listed under mental health benefits.
