Intensive outpatient program
The intensive outpatient program offers support, education and supervised meals and is ideal for patients who are transitioning to a less-structured environment.
Treatment consists of weekly visits to the Eating Disorders Institute to meet with a doctor, therapist and dietitian. Patients also come to the clinic two times a week, 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, to participate in an educational activity, supervised meal and group therapy. This program is used when someone is transitioning from the partial program to the outpatient program, and runs about four weeks. Below is an example of a typical day in the intensive outpatient program.
