Partial program

The partial program is a hospital-based, outpatient program offering therapeutic activities, support and education eight hours a day, five days a week for people who require nutritional and medical monitoring.

Three program groups are tailored to meet age-specific needs.

  • An adolescent group meets 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • A group for older teens and younger adults meets 10:45 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • A group for adults in their mid-20s and older meets 10:45 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The partial program is used to transition patients from inpatient to outpatient treatment over a five-week period, as we have found that going from 24-hour care to visits once or twice a week is too large a jump. During this phase, patients gradually spend less time in the program and more time at home, work or school.

Below is an example of a typical partial program schedule.
