Internships

Eating Disorders Institute offers two types of internships.

  • Psychology practicum experiences generally are one semester to two semesters long in one of four program areas: inpatient, partial, residential or outpatient. Three to four counseling and therapy practicums are available each year.
  • Internships with the research, education and outreach division generally are a semester- or summer-long placement. Interns experience a variety of opportunities, such as building and managing databases, working on research studies and assisting with outreach events.

Both internships are unpaid, and interns are selected through a competitive application process. For the practicum, preference is given to doctoral-level psychology students, although PhD and master's degree-level students are considered. The research, education and outreach internship generally is for undergraduate students.

To be considered for an internship with EDI, fill out an   application.
