Professional training

Nursing conference

In this one-day conference, nursing professionals learn practical suggestions for assessing and treating Parkinson’s patients, and learn about appropriate referrals to rehabilitation professionals and other health care team members.

Rehabilitation professionals conference

This conference provides information on physical, occupational, speech and music therapy techniques for treating Parkinson’s disease. Participants learn practical suggestions on how to evaluate and treat Parkinson’s patients and integrate services.

Administrative and clinical preceptorships

Half- and full-day professional consultation and instruction are available to health care professionals. Preceptorships are tailored to the participant’s level of Parkinson’s expertise and interest.

Community outreach events

Struthers Parkinson’s Center offers in-service classes and community presentations, support group facilitator training, and health fair and conference exhibits.
