Sleep is an active state, essential for physical and mental restoration. At least six to nine hours of sleep helps concentration, coordination, memory, productivity and alertness.
Millions of Americans routinely fail to get quality sleep. Busy schedules and hectic lifestyles are partly to blame. However, many people are unable to achieve healthy sleep, regardless of how many hours they set aside to rest and recharge.
Methodist Hospital's Sleep Disorders Center has helped diagnose, treat and manage sleep-related problems since 1981. With 12 beds and more than 20 full-time professionals on staff, we are one of Minnesota's largest sleep clinics. Last year, more than 2,700 sleep studies were performed.
