Our acute stroke treatment services focus on the urgent needs of stroke patients to provide treatment when it counts the most. Recognizing the limited time for effective treatment in the early hours after a stroke, our stroke code team rapidly evaluates and treats stroke with clot-dissolving therapy.

Patients with vascular disease receive care from our multidisciplinary team, including a stroke neurologist, experienced neurological nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, rehabilitation staff and chaplains. A comprehensive assessment with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), carotid ultrasound, transcranial doppler ultrasound, CT imaging, blood flow imaging, cardiac services and catheter angiography provides the best understanding of the stroke process for patients and their families. We also call upon our neuroradiology interventional services and vascular neurosurgical expertise for more complex cerebrovascular cases requiring procedural or surgical intervention.
