Spider vein treatment (sclerotherapy)
|
It is estimated that half the adult female population has spider veins, which are small clusters of red, blue or purple veins that appear on thighs, calves and ankles. Sometimes spider veins appear on the face, making even the best complexion look blotchy and uneven. Spider veins on the face actually are not veins, but blood vessel malformations. |

Spider vein treatment, or sclerotherapy, injects a solution into the veins, causing them to collapse and fade. Facial spider veins usually are treated with laser therapy or with hyfercation, which uses heat to seal the blood vessels.
