Cosmetic injections

Cosmetic injections are becoming an increasingly popular way to reduce facial wrinkles and lines, plus dark veins on the face or legs. Treatment options at Park Nicollet include the following.

• Botox_® reduces facial wrinkles including forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet. Treatment takes two minutes to three minutes. Results will be visible within three days to five days, and last four months to six months. You can immediately return to work or home after treatment.
• Restylane_® restores volume and fullness to skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Treatment takes five minutes to six minutes and you can immediately return to work or home. Results are immediate; any swelling will fade within three days. Results will last six months or longer.
• Spider vein treatment reduces appearance of spider veins on thighs, calves, ankles and face. Treatment is typically done in two or more one-hour sessions. If treatment is done on legs, you may have cramping for one day to two days. If treatment is done on face, redness and swelling will disappear within a month.
