Team assessment

A daylong assessment is available to anyone with Parkinson’s, whether newly diagnosed or currently receiving treatment. The center’s assessment team provides individualized treatment and self-care plans, including:

• diagnosis confirmation
• evaluation, treatment and disease management recommendations
• family and support resources

Assessments are conducted by a neurologist, registered nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist and social worker. Findings are reviewed with patients and can be sent to their primary care doctors. Family members are encouraged to attend the assessment.
