Childbirth preparation classes

A key part of prenatal care is education – a chance for families to learn and grow together. Classes are scheduled throughout the year at many convenient times and often on weekends. Class seating is limited so register early.

New class provider starting in 2010
Park Nicollet is excited to announce a new partnership with Amma Maternity. Starting January 2010, Park Nicollet’s childbirth and baby preparation classes will be provided by Amma Maternity. Amma is a local provider of childbirth and preparation classes, offering a full spectrum of prenatal classes, new parent programs, workshops, fitness classes and more. Tour the Family Birth Center (beginning January 2010)
Tours of Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital Family Birth Center are available on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. To best accommodate our patients, we limit the maximum number per tour. Please register for one of the available times and dates below. Tours last about 20 to 30 minutes. 

Tours are free, but there is a $3 parking fee for Methodist Hospital ramps. Parking can be validated for a $2 rate if you bring your parking ticket with you. You may park in the Blue Ramp next to the Park Nicollet Heart and Vascular Center off of Excelsior Boulevard, or the Orange Ramp off of Louisiana Avenue next to Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center. View campus map and directions. 

Family Birth Center is located on 3 West, Methodist Hospital, 3rd Floor. Tours will begin in the patient lounge, just past the elevators on the left side of the hallway.

For the health of our moms and babies, we also ask that you refrain from coming if you are sick on the day of your scheduled tour.

Online registration for 2009 is available below. If you choose to register online, you will immediately receive two Auto Confirmation statements. One will verify your order transaction, the other will confirm your registration. Please print and save your confirmation statement to have class date and location information available. If you do not receive these email statements within 24 hours, call our Health Education office at 952-993-3454. If you register by phone or mail, a confirmation letter will be mailed to your home.
