About the program

The prevention, diagnosis and management of diabetes is a growing concern as the number of people affected by diabetes rises. To help you meet this challenge, we offer Team Management of Diabetes. This program provides a practical opportunity for health care professionals to expand their knowledge of diabetes.

Three full days of lectures, case studies and hands-on learning activities help you learn the latest advances in diabetes management, care, education and practice. Whether you need an overall refresher, have recently added diabetes care to your responsibilities, or are preparing for the CDE exam, this program provides a comprehensive foundation.

New information, plus continually updated presentations and activities, keep this program fresh, even for experienced professionals. Past attendees can benefit from completing the program again, to stay current.

Program objectives

This conference provides a comprehensive foundation in diabetes management, care and education. Following the program, you will be able to:

Continuing education credits

Contact hours have been applied for by the Wisconsin Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Up to 21 contact hours may be awarded.

This activity has been applied for through the Commission on Dietetic Registration for 21 Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEUs).

North Dakota State University College of Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Up to 21 credit hours may be awarded. Program number 047-999-104-L04-P.

To receive a statement of credit, attendees must sign the attendance roster at the beginning of the program and return their completed evaluation and attendance verification form.

A statement of credit will be mailed out four to six weeks after the receipt of verification materials.

It is the responsibility of each participant to determine if the program meets the criteria for licensure or recertification for their discipline.

Cancellation and refund policy

Substitutions are accepted at any time. A $50 administrative fee is applied to all cancellations made before the start of the program. Refunds are not given after the program has started. In the unlikely event the program is canceled, International Diabetes Center is not responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by participants.

All programs are in Naegele Auditorium at International Diabetes Center. We are located at the northeast corner of Highway 100 and Excelsior Blvd. Follow signs from Excelsior Blvd. to free parking ramp.

If you are registered, check in and pick up your name badge and program materials the morning of the program. New registrations will be allowed on-site, as space permits, and must include payment.
