Eye Examinations

Appointments

Nine convenient clinic locations  offer routine eye exams.  Call 952-993-3150 to schedule an appointment.

Park Nicollet is fully staffed to meet your eye care needs. Wait times are usually minimal and many times we can accommodate same-day appointment requests.

Routine eye examinations are typically conducted by licensed, certified doctors of optometry. If serious problems are detected that require further analysis and treatment, our staff of 12 optometrists can quickly and confidently provide referrals to ophthalmologists and other specialists.

What to expect
Patients of Park Nicollet are cared for by highly trained and qualified eye care experts in a clinical environment. Examinations involve a thorough evaluation of vision changes and abnormalities using the latest testing measures. A comprehensive examination includes a glaucoma test, microscope examination and pupil dilation that can detect problems.

How often should people have their eyes tested
According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology's examination guidelines, age determines the recommended frequency for eye examinations.

  • People age six to 60 should have eye examinations every one to two years.
  • Annual eye examinations are recommended for people age 60 and older.

Pre-existing medical conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, high blood pressure, diabetes and other chronic illnesses may also determine the frequency of recommended eye examinations. Each patient should consult with his or her primary care doctor to determine frequency of exams.

To schedule an eye examination, call 952-993-3150.
