Contact lens assessments, evaluations and fittings
Park Nicollet provides a full range of eye care services to meet the unique needs of our patients. Here is a list of our major services.
Contact lens assessment (for people who currently do not wear contact lenses)
Fee: Typically free
If you have never worn contact lenses before, but want to see if you are a candidate, meet with one of our contact lens technicians for an assessment. This is the first step in the process of receiving contact lenses.
Contact lens fitting (for new contact lens wearers and current wearers who require a refit)
Fees: Start at $90
The contact lens fitting is the next step in the process. A certified contact lens technician will determine the proper lenses for you based on your prescription, corneal measurements and lifestyle needs. Fees for this service are dependent on the complexity of the fitting process and will be due at the end of the initial appointment. You will receive your contact lens prescription to use at Contact Lens Store @ Park Nicollet or at an independent merchant once the technician has determined your lenses are the proper fit.
Contact lens evaluation (for people who currently wear contact lenses)
Fee: $50
A certified contact lens technician will conduct a visual acuity test and perform corneal measurements that will help define the curvature, power and diameter of the contact lenses that are just right for you and your eye health. You also will be taught about your lenses and solution needs at that time to ensure you have a total care plan for your eyes.
The fee for this service is payable at appointment check-in. Upgrades in contact lens type and technology may generate further service charges.
Note: Fees associated with contact lens fitting and wearing may be covered by insurance if they serve a special therapeutic purpose.
