Insurance information for Park Nicollect Hearing Center
Audiologists are recognized members of the health care team and can provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations that are billable to insurance. Because many for-profit hearing aid dispensers in our community cannot provide clinical care, they are not able to bill for services and bundle the evaluation and follow-up fees directly into the cost of your hearing aid.
Park Nicollet can bill for services, to the extent that your plan allows, and will make every attempt to do so. This helps you to get the insurance coverage you are entitled to and not pay an inflated price for your hearing aids. Park Nicollet is proud to offer a full-service billing department to help you get the most from your insurance benefits.
We advise you to call the customer service line for your insurance company to understand your specific benefits for the services and items you need. Following are some questions you should ask.
"I am having a hearing evaluation to assess my hearing and need to understand my coverage for services and products."
- Is Park Nicollet a participating hearing services provider for my insurance plan?
- What coverage do I have for a hearing evaluation to determine if I have hearing loss?
- What coverage do I have for an evaluation to get a hearing aid?
- What coverage do I have to purchase hearing aids?
- What costs might I be responsible for?
- Would you send me the specific policy information related to my benefits for hearing care and hearing aid purchase?
- Is there a dollar limit or time restriction connected with my insurance benefit?
