"I've learned that patients with cancer have personalities and souls that cancer can't take away."
Kathy Eagan’s 40th birthday was a time to celebrate, get ready for the upcoming school year for her three children and cheer on her favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. At this milestone in her life, Kathy never thought of breast cancer – even though her grandmother and father had it. “I imagined I might get it in my 60s or 70s. When I was diagnosed, I thought, ‘Well, the forties aren’t what they’re cracked up to be!’”
"I am so grateful to the Park Nicollet staff who carefully and gently guided me through the entire process."
"I’ve begun to realize that there is so much of life left after cancer and looking to that for inspiration makes the process easier to deal with."
"Overcoming breast cancer has made me a stronger person and taught me to live life to the fullest every day."
