My Areas of Practice
I am a general pediatrician (doctor for kids in the clinic) and a hospital internist (doctor for adults in the hospital). I am passionate about helping families raise healthy and successful children and being an advocate for children within our communities. I also strive to provide excellent care to adult patients and their families in the hospital and help improve the safety and quality of our hospital experience. I have a special interest in early childhood literacy (helping kids learn to love books) and health literacy in general. I aim to accomplish this by listening to my patients and helping them and their families meet their goals with the help of my excellent team members.

Personal

My family hails from Cameroon (Africa) and St. Paul and I was born and raised in the Twin Cities. When not working, my wife and I are die-hard Minnesota Vikings fans and enjoy going to movies and spending time with our 2 dogs, friends and family. I cheer on Chelsea in the English Premier League (soccer), play recreational soccer, kickball and broomball and am a self-described comic book (and movie!) nerd. I am privileged to be the Medical Director of the Minnesota coalition of Reach Out and Read, a non-profit organization that promotes early childhood literacy in pediatric exam rooms. I also serve on the University of Minnesota Medical School Admissions Committee and volunteer at Phillips Neighborhood Clinic.
